In 2021, the Kaunertal was the first Austrian tourism destination to be awarded as one of the "Best Tourism Villages" worldwide. This makes the Tyrolean Kaunertal one of 44 model regions worldwide!

For us at the Feichtner Hof, too, development that takes natural resources into account is of the utmost importance. In addition, the social responsibility of which we are aware must not be neglected. An excerpt of our diverse measures:

* We mainly use natural and regional materials in our construction acitivities and in the furnishing of our rooms. We work together with local companies.

* we are the only member company in our region of the Tyrol-wide initiative "#dakommsher": A solidarity between Tyrolean economy and agriculture.

* we obtain numerous regional products from alpine pastures, farmers, small traders and buy cheese, honey, meat, sausage products and much more there; we are pleased to present these products in our buffet area.

* we attach great importance to the use of regional and seasonal products in order to keep transport routes short; we promote awareness of the careful handling of food or cleaning products through ongoing discussions with our colleagues in the kitchen, service and floor.

* we employ some of our staff year-round and offer numerous benefits. In addition, several of our colleagues work part-time and have flexible working time models that take the family situation into account. We are proud of our great team.

* We have implemented large investments in the thermal renovation and optimization of our heating systems in recent years. We have also switched the lighting in our hotel to LED and were able to significantly reduce the energy required with these and other measures.

* the Kaunertaler Gletscherbahnen, as the largest company in the Kaunertal, pursue an economic path that is based on the careful use of our resources and that combines and uses progress and technology in a socially intelligent manner.
